Código de Instituciones y Procedimientos Electorales
Artículo 64.
SON ATRIBUCIONES DEL PRESIDENTE DEL CONSEJO GENERAL DEL INSTITUTO ELECTORAL DEL ESTADO DE GUANAJUATO, LAS SIGUIENTES:
I. CONVOCAR, PRESIDIR Y CONDUCIR LAS SESIONES DEL CONSEJO;
II. PROPONER AL CONSEJO EL NOMBRAMIENTO DEL SECRETARIO DEL MISMO Y DEL SECRETARIO EJECUTIVO DE LA COMISIÓN EJECUTIVA, Y A LOS DEMÁS DIRECTORES DE ÉSTA;
III. REPRESENTAR LEGALMENTE AL INSTITUTO ELECTORAL DEL ESTADO Y VIGILAR EL CUMPLIMIENTO DE LOS ACUERDOS Y RESOLUCIONES DEL CONSEJO GENERAL;
IV. VELAR POR LA LEGALIDAD Y PROCURAR LA UNIDAD Y COORDINACIÓN DE LAS ACTIVIDADES DE LAS AUTORIDADES ELECTORALES;
V. SUSCRIBIR LOS CONVENIOS QUE EL CONSEJO GENERAL APRUEBE CELEBRAR CON AUTORIDADES FEDERALES, ESTATALES Y MUNICIPALES, ASÍ COMO ESTABLECER RELACIONES DE COLABORACIÓN CON ÉSTAS;
VI. RECIBIR LAS SOLICITUDES DE REGISTRO DE CANDIDATURAS COMPETENCIA DEL CONSEJO;
VII. VIGILAR LA ENTREGA A LOS ORGANISMOS ELECTORALES DE LA DOCUMENTACIÓN APROBADA Y DEMÁS ELEMENTOS NECESARIOS;
VIII. PUBLICAR MEDIANTE AVISOS COLOCADOS EN EL EXTERIOR DE LAS OFICINAS DEL INSTITUTO ELECTORAL DEL ESTADO DE GUANAJUATO, LOS RESULTADOS DE LOS CÓMPUTOS QUE SEAN COMPETENCIA DEL CONSEJO GENERAL;
IX. RECIBIR Y REMITIR UNA VEZ RESUELTOS, CUANDO ASÍ PROCEDA, LOS RECURSOS QUE SE INTERPONGAN EN CONTRA DE LOS ACUERDOS Y RESOLUCIONES DEL CONSEJO;
X. PROPONER AL CONSEJO LOS NOMBRAMIENTOS DE PRESIDENTE Y CONSEJEROS CIUDADANOS QUE INTEGREN LOS CONSEJOS DISTRITALES Y MUNICIPALES;

XI. NOTIFICAR A LOS PARTIDOS POLÍTICOS LA OMISIÓN O INCUMPLIMIENTO DE REQUISITOS PARA EL REGISTRO O DE ELEGIBILIDAD DE LOS CANDIDATOS POSTULADOS;

XII. EJERCER LAS PARTIDAS PRESUPUESTALES APROBADAS POR EL INSTITUTO ELECTORAL DEL ESTADO DE GUANAJUATO, ESTA FACULTAD PODRÁ SER DELEGADA AL SECRETARIO EJECUTIVO; Y

XIII. LAS DEMÁS QUE LES SEAN CONFERIDAS POR EL CONSEJO GENERAL DEL INSTITUTO ELECTORAL DEL ESTADO DE GUANAJUATO, EN TÉRMINOS DE ESTE CÓDIGO.
